·       Other: CVS, SVN, OWL/RDF/XML, SOAP.

Experience

SRI International - Menlo Park, CA

Computer Scientist

2003-2009

·       Designed and implemented a Link Analysis Workbench (LAW). LAW helps analysts and decision makers identify security threats in very large data sets (evaluated on 10,000,000+ link data), by efficiently finding inexact matches to complex graphical patterns. LAW has been deployed in an experimental interagency laboratory within the intelligence community, and a paper describing LAW was named Best Analysis in the 2005 Intelligence Analysis conference.
Implemented for LAW a web-based Graphical User Interface to edit patterns, control the matching process and visualize the results.

·       Developed an algorithm catalog for the intelligence community. This system selects and combines appropriate IC data analysis algorithms (Pattern Matching, Group Discovery, etc.) into complex workflows for the purpose of threat detection. Implemented using Semantic Web technologies.

·       Prototyped a combinatorial optimization algorithm, which selected questions as part a Task Learning system for medical evacuations.

·       Implemented the scoring of a Machine Learning platform designed to assist humans in everyday tasks by learning from that individual person's actions.

Research Engineer

1998-2002

·       Implemented the underlying Ontology of a Structured Argumentation Collaborative platform.

·       Designed, developed and integrated a system that allowed Subject Matter Experts to graphically and rapidly populate large Knowledge Bases.

·       Developed a cross-platform Knowledge Base Editor applicable to different Knowledge Representation Systems.

·       Developed a generic Ontology API, which was interoperable on different multiple KRS, written in languages as different as Java and Lisp.

EDS France, Paris

Project Leader

1996-1997

·       Designed and implemented a Case-Based Reasoning application in C++ for industrial design in a major French nuclear energy company. Managed a team of three engineers who successfully delivered a complete solution, along with documentation and support.

Framentec-Cognitech, Paris

Research Engineer

1990-1995

·       Integrated an expert system for a European railroad consortium to plan and budget railroad maintenance and repairs.

·       Developed a Case-Based Reasoning system for the design of scientific payloads on Spacelab.

·       Implemented event reasoning techniques for an Artificial Vision system designed for the surveillance of large-area scenes.

·       Developed an expert system to automate the design of adhesive links for aerospace industry elements.
